Clyde Capua

Director of Operations Review

Clyde Capua is responsible for the review and audit of the compliance to the corporation’s policies and procedures at the property level. Mr. Capua’s general area of responsibility is to direct and review the work of fifteen Regional and Compliance Auditors that conduct compliance review and recommend/implement correction procedures.  Additional responsibilities include compliance review and regulation maintenance for ConAm’s affordable housing programs.

Mr. Capua has more than 18 years experience in finance and project management within the real estate and property management industry.

Mr. Capua has been with ConAm from 1987 to 1990 and since 2000. His work experience includes financial project management and analysis for real estate development companies such as McMillin and RanCon.  Prior to rejoining ConAm as the director of operations review, he was the senior financial analyst for the Centre City Development Corporation, the redevelopment arm of the City of San Diego.  His projects included Petco Park, Church Lofts, Library Lofts, Carnation Building, Little Italy Neighborhood Development and 900 F Street Apartments.

Mr. Capua holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s of business administration from the University of San Diego.  In addition, he has earned a certification of accounting from UCSD, a NCPe designation, issued by the Housing Credit College and a TCS designation for tax credit projects from the National Credit Housing Management Agency.
